Southern Indiana offers plenty of opportunities to get out and get moving. Patoka Lake has 8,800 acres of water, making it the perfect destination for anyone wanting to camp, hike, fish, swim, and explore. Below ground, the region is also home to Marengo Cave, a U.S. Natural Landmark featuring miles of caverns to explore. For those feeling a bit wild, get up close and personal with exotic animals including giraffes, kangaroos, elephants, and more at Wilstem’s Drive-Thru Safari. 

When it’s time to relax, head to the French Lick Resort, which houses a pair of opulent hotels dating back to the 1800s that feature spas, fine dining, and a casino. At Patoka Lake Winery, sip on the winery’s signature wine slushies in the tasting room or take them to go and enjoy on Patoka Lake’s waters. For those feeling a bit sporty, hit the links at one of the region's top rated golf courses, including the challenging Lucas Oil Golf Course, 2015 Senior PGA host Pete Dye Golf Course, and the historic Donald Ross Golf Course. Or, catch a game at League Stadium, where much of the classic 1992 movie “A League of Their Own” was filmed.
